Recent Fentanyl Lawsuits

There have been several recall notices of different batch numbers and Fentanyl patches over the past five years. In 2004 Johnson and Johnson voluntary recalled batches of the 75 microgram patch. In 2005, the FDA put out an alert announcing that 120 patients have died due to improper use. With this came a safety warning explaining the side effects of Fentanyl including difficulty breathing, addiction and death.  Johnson and Johnson have also recalled 25 microgram gram batches in 2008 due to leakage problems. More recently, on October 21, 2010, the FDA put out a press release warning the public about the recall of several lots of Fentanyl patches sold by Activis.
